To practice as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the United States, entry-into-nursing graduates must pass a standardized, national licensing exam called the National Council Licensure Examination (NCLEX-RN).
This exam is developed by the National Council of State Boards of Nursing (NCSBN). Applications for this standardized test are made through each state’s Nursing Regulatory Body (NRB).
